Arwium became the twelfth King of Kish, the premier kingship in Sumer. He was the son of Sabitum whose name meant “gazelle.” (Dorcas gazelle???) Arwium’s name meant “hind.” It is the subject of much debate whether his name meant “hind end,” or “hind end of gazelle” or simply “ass head.”
